Search Hotels & Resorts in Thailand Guest reviews for Roi-Et City Hotel good, April 23, 2012 by William D Hartz Visit Date:April 16, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "It was enlightening to see a 20?? year old hotel still maintain its reputation as being a top hotel in the region. Though the rooms are dated, they are clean and well kept. It is one of the few hotels in Thailand that has an endless supply of hotwater for a baht! The airconditioner worked up to snuff. The staff was wonderful. The restaurant was decent also. Well trained staff which was refreshing after being in other poorly runned hotels in Thailand. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | The only thing was the sawadee person that book the hotel did not let the hotel know that our 10 year old son was with us. on the e mail i received it said 2 plus one child. The one the hotel recieved said 2 adults this was a problem at checking. the checking staff saying i did not book the child until i showed them my e mail from you lucky i had it with me. this is a problem i did not require after a long drive., January 6, 2012

by Tony Woo Visit Date:July 3, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The hotel is nice; but there is hardly anything within walking distance that is of interest" | Easy to use service. Just awkward that the voucher from the internet booking must be printed and presented at the hotel., January 8, 2010
by Frank Groenen Visit Date:January 4, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Decent hotel, with large rooms. Furniture and amenities a little dated, but functional. Internet access limited to lobby and some guest rooms (the ones closest to the hubs). Good value for the price. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | Booking service worked well., December 30, 2009
by Terence Anthony Adams Visit Date:December 28, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Typical up-country hotel in Thailand. Facilities very limited, some in need of maintenance(guest lifts maintenance certificates 3 months out of date), food and beverage reasonable, staff friendly and helpful, but have zero in itiative between any of them. First room we were shown on 4th floor had very musty smell, we were then shown a room on the 3rd floor, which was fine. Everyting worked in the room, but the aircon did not cool very well. Shower was good. Had very lucky bad experience. I made the mistake of not taking valuables with me to breakfast. Luckily, my wife popped back to the room to find a maid there and with my wife s handbag and wallet open on the bed - maid very shocked to have been accosted, nothing taken, thank goodness. Reported this to Reception in absence of any Manager, but we were never advised that anything nad been done. Lesson is: if no room safe, ALWAYS take your valuables with you ALWAYS! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | Appreciate the ability of sawadee.com to expedite my reservation at the last minute., February 26, 2009 by Randy Oda Visit Date:February 23, 2009 "Roi Et City Hotel was a nice hotel to stay at. It was certainly not extravagant but had generally good service. The room itself was fairly spacious and furnished simply. The restaurant was a bit on the high side considering the area but the food was fine and service was good. Breakfast was very simple even though I did eat the Sunday buffet. Nothing to get excited about! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | As always, easy and efficient service., February 14, 2009 by Michael Mullane Visit Date:February 12, 2009 "Good Hotel, nice location. Chintzy on the breakfast. I had the breakfast coupon, and the first day went for the buffet. Well, the next day, they were ready for me. I could only have the American breakfast, while the buffet was just sitting there. I would have paid the few baht extra, but the staff was too busy watching me to make sure I ate what I was supposed to. Amusing, more than annoying. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | September 20, 2008 by William Lawrence Visit Date:September 18, 2008 "Medium sized room with twin beds, double bed pay extra!! Bar fridge on the floor.......groan !!TV wa BBC and Star Movies. Average sized bathroom with low set bath. Basic toiletries. No buffet breakfast (for my stay) just basic ABF with undercooked eggs!! CYBERPOINT prepaid internet available. 15 minute walk to town centre and lake. Baht 50/60 to bus terminal by tuk tuk." | If you allow a little for the translation then I would say it was good., July 21, 2008 by Lawrence Fitzgerald Visit Date:July 11, 2008 "This hotel was one of several surprises that we had. We feared the worst based on some of the feedback that we read. In fact this hotel was great, the food was fantastic and the service second to none. I am so pleased we stayed here it was comfortable, clean and provided real respite from the heat and streets." | booking service was great, the call centre were very helpful, they contacted me back by email very quickly to confirm booking, they speak english and are a pleasure to deal with., July 7, 2008 by Mr Thorborn Visit Date:June 30, 2008 "hotel price reasonable, located approx 2km from bus station and about 12km from airport. the junior suite decor was a bit tired looking and could seriously do with decorating, also there was an odd musty smell in the room ! the aircon is very noisy more noticable at night. the lavish bathroom offered corner bath and separate shower, and a solid marble surround sink. the reception staff speak a little english, were polite & friendly. most of the restaurant staff do not speak english, this caused problems when they cancelled the breakfast buffet due to very few guests at hotel. the inclusive breakfast choice seemed limited with poor quality of food, however, the menu for lunch/ dinner was very good and the food tasted very nice - both thai and western food ! again the prices were reasonable. they have internet at just 50 baht per hour (extremely good value). this hotel doesnt have a pool or spa facility, but can arrange a genuine thai massage at a incredibly good price of just 400 baht for 2 hours. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | I had no problems with booking the hotel online using Sawadee.com, March 13, 2008 by B Smith Visit Date:February 29, 2008 "A very nice hotel, clean, and quiet. Room was large and comfortable with a couple English speaking channels on the TV and have no complaints other than the water is not always hot, sometimes it would only get warm." | October 24, 2007 by Benjamart Sritoomkaew Visit Date:October 12, 2007 "Very nice bed, shower and space - the staffs are friendly. It is much better than I expected. Will stay at Roi-Et City Hotel again. " | Good service and all bookings were in place and I had no problems when arriving at the hotel. Will use again., May 6, 2007 by Robert Mackay Visit Date:April 7, 2007 "This is the second time I have stayed here and once again it was enjoyable. The staff are great and any request I had was done without any hassles. Also was good to have airport pickup at a reasonable rate. I will have no hesitation staying here again in the future. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | EXCELLENT, March 26, 2007 by Zahid Mahmood Visit Date:March 19, 2007 "FOR ROI- ET ITS AVERY GOOD HOTEL.
