The uniqueness of Thai Culture

Tourists are normally be fascinated by the beauty of those attractions where they could stay for a long period of time, but for some groups among of these tourists are also impress with Thai culture and could stay in Thailand forever!
The uniqueness of Thai culture are already perceived by many people who has been there as well as many of them who read stories from books. The following paragraph describes some beautiful example of Thai culture.

Seniority

This just a simple culture that Thais always respect to the older people. This is quite different from other culture as the other culture perhaps only respect to the parents/ relative (who naturally older than son or daughter, but not for any other ones whom they not know. Thai people always respect to any one regardless to the relationship. As an example usually be seen on the bus or train when there is an elder step into and there will always someone to give them a seat. Thai people not only respect to ones only who are their parents or relatives. So this is the reason why Thais is more polite and more sympathy than others.

Mai Pen Rai

This is rather tradition than culture. However, many foreigners who have been in this country more get used to this word than any other vocabulary. “Mai Pen Rai” is simply means “not at all”. Many of people would argue that it is nothing special with this word, any language has so many word that has the meaning of “not at all”. But for Thais this word is amazingly used very often in everyday life. Mai Pen Rai is used even in the very simple situation, for example, in the work place, when a man who ask for his colleague to do his job and the colleague just said “OK, Mai Pen Rai”, which means he accept to to the task for his friend, even though he already has a lot of work to do! This should be considered as a great benefit of Thai culture, especially when Thais have to work with people from other cultures.

Eating Habits

This would be the most exciting topics in this article. I don’t know whether Thai eating habit is different from the rest of the world but for sure that there is interesting inside this Thai’s unique culture. Thais, I have to say, is very conscious, back to the ancient time when most of people was very focus on everything they eat. They usually prefer some food that has decorations, especially fruit and vegetable. It is believed that eating beautifully carved fruit or vegetables is a symbol of wealthy people and also encourage people to eat. And this is the reason why Thai always love eating (all the time) since then. However, not only that reason that makes Thai’s love eating, it due to the variety of food they have. Hot and spicy is always available and healthy.

So these are just small examples of Thai ways that make them quite unique among others in the region and of course, very attractive for others to come and experience them.
